Everything you want to know about dried flowers
Dried flowers (or otherwise known as: Potpourri ) is a mixture of dried, naturally fragrant plant materials, used to provide a gentle natural scent, commonly in residential settings. They are 100% natural and biodegradable (unlike faux flowers) — not to mention less wasteful — as dried flower arrangements last much longer than fresh cuts' 10-day-average lifespan.
Don’t get us wrong - we love fresh flowers and there is nothing like fresh flowers, but dried flowers give us something completely different to work with when styling our spaces. They have their own beauty and uses and in our opinion they don’t get enough respect out there as a proper decorative item and they definitely deserve a blog post!
Dried flowers advice
While it does depend on the specific flower, generally dried flowers last between 1-3 years! As long as they are cared for properly, handled with care and kept out of direct sunlight, wind and humid conditions, you'll be able to enjoy your beautiful blooms for years.
Dried flowers tips
Grab a small vase, empty jam jar or a cute looking jug, add your flower stems either one by one or all together, step back and admire!
Handle with care
Take care when handling our dried flowers, they are fragile. You might find some flowers shed a few petals when handling, this is completely normal. An important thing to remember though - Dried flowers DO NOT need water.
